Along the coast of Cadiz you can find very authentic corners, one of those coastal corners with personality, different, is located in the municipality of Vejer de la Frontera, in one of the most privileged stretches of the coast of Cadiz, the beach of El Palmar.

With more than four kilometres long, El Palmar is characterised by its beach, almost virgin. It is an ideal bathing area to enjoy with the family, something that is helped by its clear waters and its extensive and wide line (around 80 metres on average) of golden sand.

Being only one beach, El Palmar is divided into different areas. The widest and calmest, the one that goes from Castilnovo to Torrenueva, with areas of extraordinarily beautiful dunes and stretches of sand that are a real luxury.

One of its great hallmarks are water sports, especially surfing, a modality that has always had in the waters of El Palmar its great stage, as we are in one of the best beaches for surfing at all levels, from beginners to professionals. You only have to walk along the central area of the beach to see the great passion of the surfers for this area, with surfboard shops, schools, fashion shops, etc. A whole lifestyle that makes this beach a unique place for surfing.

This atmosphere has led to the existence of numerous beach bars, traditional bars, and authentic sanctuaries of Cadiz gastronomy linked to tradition and seafood, with temples of red tuna from the almadraba tuna trap and fabulous “Carnes de Retinto”.
